About Ben Horton
Ben has a daughter and lives in Cambridge. He has a maths degree and has run a tech business for 25+ years. He's been protesting with XR since April 2019. For example on Whitehall, London, in October 2019:
My story:
"My dad worked in nature conservation and I thank my parents for raising me with a strong environmental and humanitarian ethic.
"In October 2018 a friend asked me to block a bridge in London to protest about climate change. To my shame, I laughed at him and assured him we had years to deal with that. Then I read A Farewell to Ice and realised how wrong I had been.
"I set up www.arcticdeathspiral.org and, having never been on a demo before, started protesting with Extinction Rebellion, Insulate Britain and Just Stop Oil."
