VoteClimate: Best Climate-Voting MPs

Best Climate-Voting MPs

We've scored MPs on their climate votes since 2010. They score +1 for a vote in favour of action on climate and -1 for a vote against. We divide by the total number of votes in which they could have participated to arrive at a Climate Score between -100% and +100%. We've assigned a rating to each MP based on their score.

Note: Where an MP has not voted at every opportunity for action on climate, there may be good reasons why they were unable to attend the Commons vote. Also, some votes are far more important than others.

Our list of Commons votes which would have affected action on climate change and our judgment of how an MP interested in tackling climate change should have voted is based on VoteClimate's best estimate. This list does not include motions which were not contentious and were passed without a vote.
