26 May 2021 Keir Starmer MP (@Keir_Starmer) Underpinning the drive to decarbonise our country must be both ambition and fairness.
The Labour Party will ensure that is the case. [Source]

25 May 2021 Darren Jones MP (@darrenpjones) From our evidence this morning, there’s clearly a costly challenge to decarbonise but huge opportunities to improve productivity, create new jobs and make full use of “scrap” steel as part of the circular economy. [Source]

21 May 2021 Sammy Wilson MP (@eastantrimmp) Consumers’ pockets and palates will suffer if Claire Bailey’s Climate Change Bill is passed.
It will lead to higher energy bills & 'risk reliant diets'.
Diets which would include insect larvae, seaweed, algae & maggots.
And parents thought getting kids to eat ???? was hard! [Source]
19 May 2021 Pippa Heylings MP (@pippaheylings) These Planning Reforms are a Developer's Charter that sweep away local voice on planning applications (both residents and local authorities) and will cause the collapse of social and affordable housing programmes - whilst failing to protect nature and meet climate targets! https://twitter.com/EdwardJDavey/status/1394983643496464385 [Source]
18 May 2021 Dan Norris MP (@votedannorris) The Environment Secretary set unambitious targets in his speech today, legally binding targets will not bite for nearly two decades. Here in the West of England we are up for a challenge and we’ll go further and faster leading the way getting to net zero by 2030. [Source]
18 May 2021 Darren Jones MP (@darrenpjones) Important report from @IEA today on how the world gets to net zero by 2050. However, the IEA says:
❌ No new fossil fuel licences, but new licences in UK North Sea Oil deal;
❌ Ban gas boilers by 2025, but UK ban only by then for new homes.

17 May 2021 Helen Hayes MP (@helenhayes_) The Tories are planning devastating cuts to #UKAid with appalling consequences for poverty climate change & girls' education.
Spending 0.7% of national income on aid is enshrined in law so Parliament must have a vote on this decision.

17 May 2021 Sammy Wilson MP (@eastantrimmp) Proposals to reduce carbon emissions in Northern Ireland to net zero by 2045 are pure madness.
Even if meat and dairy production were reduced by 50%, the target of 2045 would be unachievable.
These proposals will cost jobs and negatively impact on consumer choice.

15 May 2021 Rachael Maskell MP (@RachaelMaskell) Have had an inspirational day discussing the climate crisis and how we radically change our approach. Those would have been Labour’s economic priorities in the Queen’s Speech. [Source]
11 May 2021 John McDonnell MP (@johnmcdonnellMP) Fact we are facing an existential threat of climate catastrophe hasn’t penetrated Tory thinking given lack of priority being given to it. Instead the Tory priority is voter suppression. Corruption is at the heart of this government. Now they are corrupting our electoral system. [Source]
10 May 2021 Wera Hobhouse MP (@Wera_Hobhouse) COP26 gets closer every day – we need to talk about the undue influence of lobbyists there.

01 May 2021 Matthew Pennycook MP (@mtpennycook) Today marks two years since the House of Commons formally declared an environment and climate emergency.
