Here's your June 2023 update from VoteClimate.

Recruit, Recruit, Recruit!

VoteClimate is growing steadily: thank you for spreading the word. However, to impact the next general election, we need to grow faster. We crunched the numbers and learned that we each need to recruit just two friends to join VoteClimate to reach 1 million by autumn 2024. But but but... We need you to recruit two new members in the next 30 days! (please)

We've created a petition to allow people to demand action on climate and to show their support for VoteClimate: https://www.change.org/voteclimate. Please sign it. And please send it to your friends, as an initial step to get them involved in VoteClimate or as a reminder to join.

We've added more resources to help you recruit for VoteClimate:

• To email about VoteClimate, you can use our Example Recruitment Email as a template. And please let us know how to make it better.
• Print VoteClimate Posters: put them up in your windows and on work/community noticeboards
• Print VoteClimate Flyers: hand out to friends and colleagues, leave in the office kitchen / coffee area

What's Hapening?

We're chasing high-profile environmentalists to join VoteClimate as figurehead/spokesperson/ambassador. If you have any good contacts or recommendations, please let us know.

We're contacting funders so we can expand our press and promotion work. Again if you have skills in this area or contacts, please let us know.

We're recruiting for someone to promote VoteClimate on social media a few hours per week. We need to pay them! Can you spare anything? Please see our Donate page.

We're building our network on https://twitter.com/VoteClimateUK, teaming up with local and national, climate-action and nature-conservation groups and influencers. If you know such people, please ask them to follow and share @voteclimateuk.

We need to review the mainstream parties' current climate policies. Do you know a climate scientist who might be willing to help with that?
