Dear lovely [Name],
Season's greetings from VoteClimate!
We've run detailed analysis which shows that if 1 million people switch to the party with the best climate policy that can win in their seat, it simply guarantees Labour a bigger majority:
What If One Million Voters Switch To The Party With The Best Climate Policy That Can Win In Their Seat?
Great news: Our new analysis finds that just 215,000 voters in 69 marginal seats need to threaten to switch away from Labour, to parties with better climate policies, to put Labour's majority in jeopardy. This allows VoteClimate members to vote with their conscience in most seats, as long as they vote for parties with better policies than Labour. And this strategy keeps parties with the worst climate policies well away from power:
What Will It Take For Labour To Step Up On Climate? (Update)
This looks like an achievable goal for VoteClimate, Greenpeace, XR and everyone who wants action on climate at the next election.
Coming soon: A new plan to allow you to register to switch away from Labour, to parties with better climate policies. Then we can use our numbers to pile the pressure on Labour to commit to tackling the climate emergency. Keep an eye on the website and our social media.
It's the perfect time of year to reach out to friends and relatives. Can you use this as an opportunity to let people know you're backing VoteClimate and ask them if they will step up and do the same?
VoteClimate urgently needs more members in time to influence party manifestos next year.
