VoteClimate essential communication: local elections 2nd May & privacy policy update

Dear superb [Name],

This is one of our Minimal Emails reserved for essential communications.

1. Local Elections 2nd May

If you live in England & Wales it can't have escaped your notice that local elections are happening on 2nd May.

The Green Party is standing in over 60% of the contests. To check what elections are happening in your postcode, who's standing and your polling station, please enter your postcode and address on our Local Elections page:

2. Privacy Policy Update

We're legally obliged to tell you that we've updated our Privacy Policy. The changes are highlighted in yellow on our Privacy Policy page.

We remain 100% committed not to share your personal details without your explicit, additional consent. We've made these changes so that we can start gathering messages from you to take to your local politicians to demonstrate to them the widespread, heartfelt demand for action on the climate crisis. More info coming soon.

If you don't like what you see in the Privacy Policy, please reply to this email and we will delete your personal details from our system.

When Candidates Call

Local councils have a huge part to play in the UK reaching our Net Zero target on time, due to their spending and planning roles.

When candidates come knocking at your door, they're likely to deafen you with warm words. Challenge them to match those words with actions: tell them to sign up to support the CE Bill at https://zerohour.uk. Tell them you'll be checking the https://zerohour.uk website and you need to see their name there as a bare minimum before you'll consider voting for them. Be strong and get action!

Please Spread The Word!

To get our politicians to sit up and take notice and then action on the climate emergency, we need the maximum number of us lobbying and chivvying them. So please forward this email to anyone and everyone who wants to force action through the ballot box.

Thank You & Bye For Now

Love and courage from the VoteClimate team
